Why we do what we do:

Michael Hodgetts established the Charities Buying Group in 2002 after reviewing how little support charities get in solving their purchasing issues, particularly small charities who do not have the buying power of larger organisations having saved charities millions of pounds in purchasing. He now wants to assist charities in benefiting from raising much needed funds by delivering social value on behalf of business.

Michael has spent years developing the idea that Charities and Not for Profits in the UK could benefit from Social Value and wants to help organisations deliver their Social Value obligations via the Charities Buying Group national network of charity partners creating a win–win for all.

Delivery via SVDS unique concept of Social Value Credits enables organisations to specify their Social Value commitments from the contracted bid.

Delivered by our benefactors which enables the delivery of these Social Value Credits against an organisation specified requirements, either nationally, regionally, or even to a specific local community.

Making social and environmental impact simple and accessible for businesses and to support charities and NPO’s.
